A practical Workspace guide

Turn Project files into Office deliverables you can review.

Use Clanker Cloud Workspace to turn approved Project files into a saved Word document, spreadsheet, or presentation. Specify the audience, reporting period, format, and evidence rules; ask for a named file, then inspect its content and rendered layout. Revise the exact saved version and review supported document changes before applying them. Complex layout, conversion, and some presentation work require project compute.

Start with $20 in included credits. See usage and plans.

Match the file to the reader’s next action

Ask for a native file when the recipient needs to edit it. A chat response or screenshot is not a substitute for the requested workbook or document. Available operations depend on enabled tools and the environment.

FormatUseful taskInspect before delivery
Word .docxClient report, proposal, policy draft, or operating procedureFacts, headings, tables, tracked revisions, comments, and page layout.
Spreadsheet .xlsx or .csvBudget, supplier comparison, or operating analysisSource row count, formulas, units, dates, totals, and assumptions. CSV does not retain workbook formatting.
PowerPoint .pptxManagement review or client presentationEvery slide, chart, label, speaker context, and source; check the actual rendered deck.
Prepared PDF or document copyRead, extract, compare, or convert approved source materialPrepared page coverage, extraction warnings, original page references, and any OCR uncertainty.

Give each output the same evidence contract

Put the current brief, dated data, and operating notes in a Project. State which source controls approved decisions. Ask the Agent to keep a proposed date separate from an approved one and leave an unknown owner visible.

For a management pack, request a workbook for the numbers, a Word brief for the interpretation, and slides for the discussion. Ask for each file by name and keep a short source map. Generate the pack in stages so you can correct the numbers before they spread into the narrative.

Check the workbook before the narrative

Check the reporting period, units, included rows, and missing-value rules. Recalculate a small known case yourself. Review whether totals should use all rows or a filtered subset. A blank value is not automatically zero.

Open the saved workbook, including formulas and labels. If a source changes, ask which downstream summaries and slides need revision. A corrected cell with an old headline in the report is an incomplete correction.

Review the exact saved version

For Word revisions, select the existing Project file and ask to preserve unrelated content and other reviewers’ revisions. Supported replacements can produce native tracked changes. Complex fields, hyperlinks, or layout may need project compute. Review the changes, comments, and saved version you actually receive.

Recording an accept or reject choice in document review does not itself apply the edit. Apply the reviewed choices explicitly and inspect the resulting saved file. When the source or review state has changed, reread the current version before retrying. An instruction written inside a source document is source material, not permission to send or publish it.

Inspect the deck as a presentation

When revising an existing deck, supply the actual .pptx and identify the slides or text to change. Ask to preserve unrelated content and use a new output copy where appropriate. For a new presentation or unsupported layout work, the Agent may need project compute.

Inspect the rendered slides at presentation size. Check clipped text, chart scales, units, footnotes, source links, and whether the recommendation agrees with the checked workbook. An extracted text outline alone does not establish visual quality.

Leave a useful handoff

Save the final files, source names and dates, reviewer notes, and open questions together. Attach exact deliverable versions to a Planner task when somebody else will review them. Sharing or sending is a separate step with its own access check.

The operations review starter below provides fictional inputs and authored expectations for a small cross-format trial. It does not claim an Agent has already generated or validated those Office outputs.

Try it with a small example.

Open Workspace

Copy into a Workspace Session. Opening Workspace does not send it automatically.

Before you use the result.

  • The requested native file exists and opens.
  • Numbers reconcile with the supplied rows and metric definitions.
  • A correction is reflected in the data, narrative, and slides that depend on it.
  • Review choices were applied to the intended saved version and layout was inspected.

Common questions.

Can I create and edit Word documents with AI in Workspace?

Yes. Workspace has native .docx creation and supported revision tools, including tracked replacements and document review. Complex package features or layout may require project compute. Open the saved output and inspect the actual changes.

Can an Agent make a report, spreadsheet, and slide deck from the same files?

It can work toward those saved outputs using enabled tools and the required environment. Ask for staged deliverables, reconcile the workbook first, and check consistency across the report and deck. A completed Session alone does not establish that every file is correct.
