Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Clanker Cloud handles account, billing, social sign-in, and related service data. Version 2026-03-31.
2026-03-31
This policy applies to Clanker Cloud accounts, desktop downloads, optional supporter billing, and related hosted services.
What we collect
We collect the account information needed to operate Clanker Cloud, such as your email or username, display name, password hash or linked OAuth identity metadata, session tokens, account tier, billing references, and support communications you send us.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, secure sessions, deliver desktop downloads, attach billing events to the correct account, respond to support requests, and investigate abuse, fraud, or service failures.
Connected infrastructure and credentials
Clanker Cloud is designed to keep cloud credentials and infrastructure control local-first. Credentials and operational context should remain on your machine unless you explicitly submit data to our hosted services or support channels.
Third parties
We rely on third parties such as Stripe for payments, Google and GitHub for social sign-in, and our cloud hosting providers for backend delivery. Those providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and billing records for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Deleting an account removes access to Clanker Cloud account features, but some billing, audit, or security records may be retained as required.
Your choices
You can choose whether to create an account, connect social sign-in, purchase a paid supporter tier, or contact support. You can also delete your account from the account page when that feature is available to your session.
Policy updates
We may update this policy over time. When we do, we will publish the revised version here and update the effective date below.
