A practical Workspace guide

Turn a closed deal into a clear delivery brief.

Use Clanker Workspace to reconcile the approved scope, sales notes, and delivery plan into a handoff brief. Separate agreed commitments from discussion points, list missing owners, and have the delivery lead confirm the result before work begins.

Start with $20 in included credits. See usage and plans.

Give approved scope priority

Start with the current approved scope and identify who approved later changes. Label discovery notes as context. A feature discussed in a sales call should not become contracted work simply because it appears near an agreed item.

Keep the file versions and dates in the Project. Ask the Agent to explain conflicts rather than silently choosing whichever note is most convenient.

Separate promises from possibilities

In a fictional engagement, the approved scope includes a reporting dashboard. A sales note mentions a possible CRM connection, and the delivery plan depends on sample data that has not arrived.

Request files the next owner can use

Save a delivery brief covering the objective, included deliverables, exclusions, dependencies, and first decisions. Keep an open-questions file for unresolved points. Include the source behind a date or promise.

Ask for an owner column with “unassigned” where a name is absent. A sensible guess is still a guess. Ask the delivery lead to assign the owner rather than presenting the draft as an agreed staffing plan.

Run the handoff as a review

Have the delivery lead open the saved files and locate the evidence for the first milestone. Confirm what must arrive before work starts. Correct the underlying source when an agreed change is missing.

Use the checked brief as Project context for later Sessions. A handoff file is useful only while its commitments stay current; record later decisions and revise it deliberately.

Try it with a small example.

Open Workspace

Copy into a Workspace Session. Opening Workspace does not send it automatically.

Before you use the result.

  • Discussion points have not become promises.
  • The next milestone has evidence and prerequisites.
  • A delivery lead checked the saved handoff.

Common questions.

Does this workflow require a CRM integration?

No. Start from a sanitized export and approved documents. A direct CRM read or update requires a separately supported connection and permission; the example does not assume one.

What if the sales notes disagree with the approved scope?

Keep the conflict visible and refer it to the scope owner. Do not silently expand or reduce the agreed work based on a conversation note.

Can the handoff become context for future work?

Yes. Keep the reviewed brief and its sources in the Project. Add later approved decisions and refresh the brief so future Sessions do not rely on a stale commitment.
