A practical Workspace guide
Choose an AI workspace with a task you can judge.
Choose an AI workspace by running one representative task with the same input pack and acceptance criteria in each candidate. Check the saved output, a correction, an incomplete input, and the recipient handoff. Include setup, review effort, and current usage costs in the decision.
Start with $20 in included credits. See usage and plans.
Choose a bounded task
Start with a monthly client update, an evidence comparison, or an internal handoff. Avoid a pilot that only asks for an impressive demo. Name the reader, source files, expected output, and decisions the Agent may not make.
Include an incomplete input so the trial tests whether uncertainty survives the drafting process. A source pack with no delivery date should produce a missing-date question rather than a confident schedule.
Score the work your team will repeat
| Criterion | Evidence to record |
|---|---|
| Source accuracy | A reviewer can locate support for consequential claims. |
| Output usability | The saved file opens and meets the required structure. |
| Correction | The revised deliverable reflects the change throughout. |
| Uncertainty | Missing or contradictory information remains visible. |
| Handoff | The intended colleague can access the selected result. |
| Repeatability and cost | A second run uses the method with acceptable review and usage. |
Run the pilot in Clanker
Create a Project with the packet and audience instructions. Request the file in a Session, open it in Preview, and check the content. Supply one correction and inspect the revised saved file.
Use a custom Agent when you have a stable role and checklist to reuse. Add a Schedule only after the first output and input refresh process work. Each is a separate setup choice, not a prerequisite for evaluating one useful task.
Verify the boundaries that matter to your team
Check which source locations and tools the task actually needs. An uploaded export may be enough for the pilot; a production workflow may need a verified external connection and different access.
If data handling, residency, or contractual terms are purchase requirements, use the current Security and Privacy pages and confirm the exact service arrangement. A plan name or a successful demo alone does not establish those requirements.
Keep a short decision record
Record the exact task, source packet, plan or account experience, output, corrections, and remaining limitations. This page supplies a trial method, not a benchmark result. Compare candidates on the same material and let another reviewer inspect the saved outputs.
Try it with a small example.
Copy into a Workspace Session. Opening Workspace does not send it automatically.
Before you use the result.
- All candidates used the same source pack.
- The saved correction and missing-data behavior were checked.
- The decision records limitations as well as strengths.
Common questions.
Which AI workspace is best for my business?
The useful choice depends on your task, required outputs, connections, review process, and budget. Use the same pilot in your current tool and Clanker, then compare the saved results and effort.
Is a good first answer enough to choose a workspace?
It is a starting point. Also test a correction, incomplete evidence, file access, and another run. Those checks show whether the workflow is repeatable for your team.
Should I buy a plan before evaluating one task?
Check current pricing and included credits first. Keep the trial bounded, record usage, and verify that the account exposes any feature required for the task before committing to a larger workflow.
